The fest of Holly Trinity in Tinos Cyclades
Every year, 50 days after Easter, it is the day of the Holly Trinity. Here in Greece, that day is celebrated with great honor. In the villages where there is a church of The Holly Trinity like Hatzirados, Sklavohorio and Girla, there are organized festivals for that reason. The local people and pilgrims from all over the world go to the church of the village and after that they are invited at the houses of the inhabitants in order to have lunch together. This is a very old custom of the island that passes down from father to son. Everybody tastes local dishes and drinks wine made in Tinos. The festivals last till the afternoon and everyone has a good time.
