It is about the turn that Greece makes to the art of Western Europe, abandoning at the same time, the Byzantine tradition, the post byzantine that is to say art, that was also the sovereign form throughout the period of Ottoman domination. We stand upon in a change, which has begun from the 18th century in where Eptanisa where under the command of the Enets and will be extended in the remainder country after it's release and the arrival of Vavarwn and Otto." The 62 paintings that are exposed in the Collection of the National Art gallery and the Evripidi Koutlidi Institution, as well as Pan-Hellenic Holy Institution Eyaggelistrias of Tinos.
The journey in the History of Modern Greek Art therefore begins from the Eptanisian Faculty (Ger. Pitzamanos, N. Kantounis, G. Avlihos, A. Kriezi's), continues in the Faculty of Munich with works from Tino's citizens Nikolaos Gyzi, Nikiforos Lytras and Gewrgio Iakovidi, Konstantinos Volanakis, Theodoros Vryzaki and more. and it ends in the 19th century, with painters such as Simeon Savvidis and the Pericles Pantazis.

The exhibition is completed with the Abstraction, which is conquered afters the War, with Spyropoylos, Kontopoylos, Moralis and Stamos, and will become the eminently figurative property of the '60s.

The Cultural Foundation of Tinos, in its short time of operation, has achieved to combine high level cultural events, with the constant care for the inland Tinos culture, the tradition and his authors. It has presented the popular art of Tinos through an exhibition of lithanaglyfs of the island (2003), the wealth of the icons that adorns its temples (2006), the three basic pylons of artistic Tinos creation, which are Nikolaos Gyzis (2001), Nikiforos Lytras (2005) and Giannoyli Halepas (in permanent exhibition since 2005), but also a complex approach of Tinos artistic production, with the exhibition: "The Awakening, Tinos artists in the journey from popular to scholar" (2006), which showed the work of Tinos founders of art and their continuers in Greece after the rebellion.
